This policy explains how My Dope Tee ("we", "us"), based in Toronto, Ontario, collects, uses and shares your information when you use our website, the online stores we run for groups, teams, schools, companies and fundraisers, or place an order with us. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to this policy.
What we collect
- What you give us: your name, email, phone number, billing and shipping address, order details, sizes, and anything you send us through our forms or messages.
- Your designs: artwork, photos, logos, text, names and numbers you upload or add in our designer.
- Payment details: entered at checkout and handled by our payment processors.
- How you use our website: pages you visit, products you view, what you click, your device, browser, IP address, general location and the site that sent you to us. We collect this with cookies, pixels and similar tools.
How we use it
- To make, ship and support your order, and to send you order updates.
- To send you offers, new products, promotions and other marketing by email, text message and other channels.
- To show you our ads and measure how they perform, on our website and on other sites and apps, including Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram).
- To understand how people use our website and to improve it.
- To run our business: accounting, taxes, preventing fraud, and protecting our rights.
Cookies, pixels and similar tools
Our website uses cookies and similar tools to keep you signed in, remember your cart, understand how the site is used and run our ads. These include Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity. Clarity records how visitors use our pages, like clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, so we can improve them. These companies may also use the information under their own privacy policies.
Who we share it with
- Companies that help us run our business: our e-commerce platform (DecoNetwork), payment processors, shipping carriers and shipping software, email and text messaging services, and analytics and advertising partners.
- Group and fundraiser stores: if you order through a store we run for a group, team, school, company or fundraiser, we may share your name, contact details and order details with that store's organizer so they can run the store and hand out orders.
- If our business changes hands: if My Dope Tee is sold, merged or reorganized, your information may be transferred as part of that.
- When the law requires it: to comply with the law or a legal request, or to protect our rights, our customers or others, including in disputes about intellectual property.
We may also share information that has been combined or de-identified so it can't reasonably identify you.
Some of the companies we work with store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information stored there is subject to the laws of that country.
Children
Children under 13 may not place orders. If a parent, coach or organizer gives us a child's name or number to print on an item, we use it to make and deliver that order.
Your choices
- Marketing messages: unsubscribe at any time using the link or instructions in any email or text.
- Ads and tracking: you can block or delete cookies in your browser, and change your ad settings with Google and Meta.
- Your information: you can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent to marketing, by sending us a message through our contact form. Some information is needed to fill your order, so withdrawing consent for those uses may mean we can't complete it.
Keeping it safe
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (SSL) connections at checkout. No website or system is completely secure.
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, including our business records, taxes and accounting, or as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If you keep using our website after a change, you accept the updated policy.
